Bodies you can search for items have flies flying around them. Search them by RMB (right mouse button) clicking on them or pressing the Y key. This will open a Loot Window where you can LMB (left mouse button) click, hold, and drag items to your Inventory or use the Loot All button. Holding Shift before clicking the mouse button or the Y key will activate auto-loot which will allow you to loot the items from the corpse without clicking every item.
How do I loot a corpse?
